~The UConn women’s basketball team has now won 71 consecutive games. 72 if you count the scrimmage against the New Jersey Nets.

~Ron Artest recently had the word “defense” written on his head in Hebrew, Japanese and Hindi. Now he’s an idiot in four languages.

~Joe Nathan’s season is in doubt because of a torn ligament in his throwing elbow. The Nationals season is also in doubt because of talent.

~Larry Brown has made preliminary calls to the Clippers. He’s either trying to line up a job or offering his condolences.

~And sources close to Allen Iverson insist he’s addicted to gambling and alcohol. In other words, he’s become friends with Charles Barkley.

Best Job In Baseball ????

Can anyone argue that Pedro Martinez DOESNT have the best job in baseball?

a: he’s a pitcher, so he only plays 1/5 ( or 32 of the 162)of the games
b: He’s an unsigned free agent until mid year, then signs with a contender. Takes 2 weeks to “get in the swing of things” then pitches in MAYBE 1/5 ( or 14 of 71) of the remaining games.
c: teams in the hunt will pay top dollar when they smell blood. Last year the phillies shelled out an even ONE MILLION dollars for his 5 wins!
d: he’s so rested from throwing 1/5 seasons that this could last another 5 years.
e: the media and fans love him. especially in NY!

So i guess another question is who’s gonna SNATCH him up this year? My guess is the Washington Nationals. That’s right i think the NATS may have what it takes this year to possibly be in the hunt come All Star break. They acquired RHP’s Miguel Batista, Ching Ming WANG and Matt Capps. 2nd baseman Adam Kennedy. C Pudge Rodriguez. Who knows? Crazier things have happened. Look at the 2008 Rays! (remember Sox fans? )

Sunday Snacks

The New York Knicks lost to the dismal New Jersey Nets last night..You may say that’s pretty sad losing to the Nets, but whats even sadder is that the Knicks shot 0-18 from behind the 3pt line in that game. And also they are and have been my team since 1996. Since Patrick Ewing retired and Isiah Thomas ruined the team I havn’t had a real NBA team to cheer for. I just love the NBA in general!

Is Ben Roethlisberger really getting accused again of sexual assault?? This is like the 3rd time in as many years he has been accused..What does Big Ben get some booze in him and use his 6′5″ frame to shmooze these broads??

GREAT NEWS ALL AROUND!

Hey Now HECKLAAAAS!

Let’s here it for the Tampa Bay Rays!!!!!!!! They defeated the Evil Empire 12-7 today in their 1st Spring Training go-round.

Yankee Exec’s were said to have been seen literally drooling over the thought of Carl Crawford and Carlos Pena being free agents at end of 2010!

While similar reports of A-Roid drooling over Jeter’s jock strap seem to have been covered up!

DAMN!!!!!!! I HATE ME SOME YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of Yankee hatin’! Opening Day at my beloved Fenway Park brings the SPANKEES into town for a 4pm start on Sunday night!

ON APRIL FREEEEKIN’ 4TH!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!! Its gonna be like tailgatin’ at FRIGGIN’ Sullivan Stadium for a playoffs game in January for Pete’s sake!!! If you Yankee followers think we Sox SUPAFANS can be obnoxious when its warm. Wait ’til FREEEEEKIN’ Sully, Timmy, and I gotta get all liquored up just to keep from freezing to death in the shadows of the Green Monstah!!!!!!

Why can’t we open against the Rays in Tampa?!
