Clippers’ head coach Mike Dunleavy stepped down this past Thursday after 6.5 seasons calling the shots. Literally. He leaves the position posting a career record of 215-325. with the Clippers currently in third place in the “forgataboutit youz don’t have a chance competing against the ” Pacific Western Conference. Luckily, uncle Mike will retain his job as the GM, so beers will still be free when I get to L.A.

In Baseball news, Kevin “what the hell will this guy do next” Millar signed a 1 yr MINOR LEAGUE contract with…the CUBS!??? Holy schnikees, was 2004 THAT long ago? And apparently CRACK is now being served in the NYY head office! Hank Steinbrenner actually went on record claiming that the NYY will repeat this year! Really, can you actually repeat with out JOHNNY DAMON? ( insert sarcasm here). Check out the pic below from Friday’s USA Today.

Get used to seeing Damon swing a driver this year, unless of course of an injury to an existing left fielder who can’t throw to third in the air from mid field happens. Scott Boras must be the one supplying Steinbrenner with the free crack! Boras claims that 3 teams have shown interest in Johnny “2 hop” Damon. Exactly which fantasy league teams were those Scott???

And while I’m at it……What’s the amazing allure of Lane Kiffin exactly? a 34 yr old unproven cheating prick who’s career coaching record is 12-21!! no seriously…someone please explain!!!! Rick Riley says it best in this month’s FAN ISSUE of ESPN the magazine. Riley rants “It’s been bad news for USC football fans who just lost …Carrol..replaced him with Kiffin, an unproven, scatter mouthed, rule breaking….Kiffin’s leaving the Vols was especially bad news for his 1 yr old, Monte Knox Kiffin, whose middle name is an homage to Knoxville.
